Miss Charlotte’s Halo Candle Company: ‘Your Candle Filling Station’

One step inside Miss Charlotte’s Halo Candle Company and your senses are filled with delight! Charlotte Govro, affectionately referred to as “Miss Charlotte,” owns and operates her specialty store that takes wax to the max.
Located between Vichy and Belle on Hwy. 28 in South-Central Missouri, Miss Charlotte’s Halo Candle Company is a thriving cottage industry that features an array of retail products – including votives, gift baskets and specialty candles – along with a charming supply of containers.

Miss Charlotte’s Halo Candle Company is subtitled “The Candle Filling Station,” which means customers can bring a container to Govro for her to work her magic. “You choose the fragrance, the colors and the container,” Govro said.

Fragrance selection is mindboggling. “I carry about 1000 different fragrances, due to the ability to mix them,” she explained. She even offers her signature fragrance, “Miss Charlotte’s,” which blends French vanilla, butter cream and coconut lime verbena into a creation that smells good enough to eat.

Halo Candle Company, which originated in St. James and now has franchises around the U.S., provides Miss Charlotte’s with all the necessary supplies for manufacturing top-of-the-line candles with specialized, concentrated scents such as Jamaican Me Crazy, Dickens Christmas, Passionate Kisses, China Rain, Pink Sugar, Doughnut Shop and Love Spell, a Victoria’s Secret fragrance.

“The Halo,” which is the signature item for Halo Candle Company, is made of a special wax that doesn’t melt and comes lined with decorative inlays that can be customized for any décor. The Halo illuminates from the light of a votive placed inside it, delighting the senses.

Govro also manufactures glycerin soaps that can be customized to match the fragrance in the candles.

 “I do a lot of gift baskets for real estate companies,” Govro stated. “The candle gift baskets are perfect for the new home owner.” Govro also delivers to a large region that includes Rolla, Jefferson City and St. Louis.

Don’t forget Miss Charlotte’s candle and soaps when planning a fundraiser. “I sell organizations products at wholesale for fundraisers,” Govro said.
